Back to new boats
Through impeccable spatial solutions, the Fly 78 mimics the ambience of a larger yacht without compromising the sportive agility of smaller vessels. Secluded quarters eclipse behind-the-scenes service happenings, in the first ever boat in its category to organize completely partitioned areas for the galley and crew. A fluid and original onboard culture for the guests, elated by space bliss and sheer sophistication. Revel in the atmosphere of the Fly 78, without compromise.
The exteriors of the Azimut 78 give the appearance of being sculptured out of pure movement. From stern to bow, from the sea to the sky, sculptural tension permeates the boat’s contours. The hull is testament to the constant quest for novel, innovative shapes. With his creativity and innovative design, Alberto Mancini reinvents and embellishes the accepted shape and nature of a yacht. Through its dynamic lines, static elements become fluid, boat becomes sculpture and yachting is transformed into a form of visionary art.
Looking forward to the sea, the bow lounge is divided in double, yet complete in communication. Aft, a sofa looks across the folding coffee table to a counter-facing row of seating and beyond. The fore part features generous sunbeds for three.
The Fly 78 offers three inviting areas on the flybridge, each playing its part in the composition of a unique entertaining array. Overlooking the bow, the wide sunbathing spread proposes roofless relaxation. The American bar and adjacent dinette stay cool by contrast under the hardtop.
Oversized cushions dress up the yacht’s largest flush outdoor deck as a temple to comfort in nature. It’s a pleasure to dine or just relax up here, with plenty of space for guests to spread out and panoramic views from every angle.
The living area enjoys perfect privacy, with a door to separate the forward galley, helm and crew quarters. The crew performs all onboard duties uninterrupted, using the side service door to access independent walkways.
The total interior project was designed by Architect Achille Salvagni. Every element, from the overarching structure down to the most minute detail, follows the flow. The work is recognized by soft and smooth shapes, furniture that seems suspended and characterful color accents.
A sweeping, singular social space reincorporates tradition and entertains new ideas. The Fly 78 goes beyond the lounge-dining dichotomy to propose a fresh concept, the choice of a Full Lounge layout in addition to the traditional one. With a transformation of the forward coffee table, a newfound formal dining accommodates eight.
Noble materials, fine fabrics and sophisticated finishes: every detail reflects the made-in-Italian care of Azimut Yachts.
Dreaming of a life at sea truly free from spacial restriction, the designers put together an owners suite that offers everything one might need in perfect proportion. The well-dressed arrangement is roomy and livable, leaving little behind on land.
The choice of Triple Pod Propulsion lends more space to the accomodations below deck, allowing the designer to extend the comfort of VIP to two of the guest cabins.
The galley, adjoining the wheelhouse, also contains the crew mess and a stairway which leads directly to the crew quarters on the lower deck. It opens directly onto the side walkway whilst another door separates it from the saloon, creating a layout which offers complete independence for crew and an exceptional level of privacy for the owner and guests.
